The annotate and preview features are made possible by Crocodoc. (Please send all annotation feature requests to Crocodoc: support@crocodoc.com.)
If you are a teacher and cannot see the “Annotate” option next to a student’s submitted assignment, please see the following points.
- Incompatible file name: Users should refrain from using spaces in a document title, and instead use an underscore.
- Supported file types are .pdf, .doc/.docx, .ppt/.pptx, and .xls/.xlsx (in beta).
- The file size limit for all files is 100 MB.
If students cannot see annotations, please make sure the student is clicking on the magnifying icon on the assignment submission page. A facebox will pop-up displaying the document and the teacher’s annotations. If the student clicks the document link, the file will download to his/her computer without the annotations.
Still experiencing a problem? Contact Report A Bug: Click “Account” and then “Report A Bug” on the Edmodo toolbar, and provide us with a detailed report of the trouble you’re having. Please include the title of the assignment and the student’s name for whose file you’re trying to annotate. We’ll work with you to resolve the trouble you’re experiencing.
